Dan Halliman, timeshare, timeshare cancellation, timeshare exit

Q: When did you start working at WFG?
A: It will be 7 years this March!

Q: What drew you to WFG originally?
A: I truly believed that WFG was helping people. I did not know the timeshare industry as I had never been exposed to it. After having been here for almost a year, I started thinking that this might just be my next home, and I have been here ever since.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job/working at WFG?
A: My absolute favorite part of what I do here is the fact that we change the destiny of individuals and their families. What I do is not about me or WFG. It is about helping families out of horrible financial situations they find themselves in because they trusted a salesperson at the timeshare company.

Q: What is your favorite client story?
A: My absolute favorite story is about the dear, sweet lady from here in Tennessee that we helped. Let’s just call her Ethel. 75 years old and had to go back to work to pay for the timeshare payments. All of her savings were gone after having been talked into upgrading multiple times over the years. She was told several times that the current upgrade would allow her to be able to make money with her timeshare, and thus, earn an income that would pay for the timeshare itself. She had been scammed out of 11-12 thousand dollars by another company who told her they would cancel the timeshare. This money came from her taking her vehicle title and getting a 29% loan against her vehicle so she could pay that fraudulent company, which is what that particular company told her to do. All they did was take her money. She never heard from them again. We ended up taking her case on pro-bono because we just felt it best to help her. We canceled the timeshare contract within 10-11 months and were also able to help her get a refund on some of the money she had paid to the timeshare.

Q: What do you want people to know about WFG that they may not know?
A: Wesley Financial Group is involved in goodwill and humanitarian events. We do a lot of good for many people who are not our clients just because it is the right thing to do. The service we provide to our clients allows us the opportunity to be a blessing in the lives of many, many people here in Middle TN that would otherwise not have that benefit. You cannot do enough good. Chuck McDowel, our CEO, is always lending a helping hand when he can. We are involved in many charitable works that never make it onto the local news stations.

Q: Where is your hometown?
A: Gallatin, TN

Q: What are some of your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I love spending time with my bride of 37 years, Miss Tami Jo. She completes me. I enjoy spending time with my family, children and grandchildren. I enjoy our horses and being around them. Someone once said that the outside of a horse is good for the inside of man. I don’t have too many hobbies, as my time is spent with family when I am not at work. However, I do enjoy hunting as well as working on our property with my tractor and equipment. I enjoy things that help me to become a better person.

Q: Any random facts you can share?
A: What you believe about yourself others perceive about you.
