Tammy's Vacation Gets Interrupted By 9-Hour Timeshare Sales Meeting

After being asked to attend a sales presentation while on vacation, Tammy R. found herself stuck in a timeshare fiasco. The following includes a written account of Tammy’s experience in dealing with a timeshare company. We hope her story helps showcase a few of the tactics and strategies timeshare sales associates oftentimes use on honest and trusting clients. The names of people and companies have been omitted and or changed for privacy reasons.

“I work two jobs so that my mother and I can have a good life. She is retired and on a fixed income, so I want to be able and be sure that she can still enjoy life. However, one time when we were on vacation we were interrupted by a gentleman telling us that we had to attend a seminar. They ended up taking nine hours of our time and the rest is history.”

During her interactions with the timeshare sales team, Tammy was insistent on saying no and declining any potential offer. But they wore her down.

“It got to the point where I felt that if I kept saying no, I was just wasting more of my time because they would keep me longer.”

Tammy also recalls a salesman making a pitch to her saying that if she signed on a timeshare that day, she could go to any resort at any time. She later found out that was not the case. After her monthly payment began to skyrocket, she started to weigh her options and look for a way out of the mess she was thrown into.

“So many lies. I was told my maintenance fees wouldn’t increase and yet they did, year after year. After having no luck trying to call the timeshare resort company to try and get out of it, I started to search for other ways and that’s when I found Wesley Financial Group.”

After giving us a call, Tammy couldn’t pass up the results she saw from previous Wesley Financial Group, LLC clients.

“For me it was the background of the company along with the results they get for all of their clients. Not to mention the money back guarantee, which makes you feel really safe about what you’re doing. I just wanted out of my timeshare, and they gave that to me.”

We are happy to say that we assisted Tammy and her mother by relieving them of over $40,000 in timeshare mortgage debt.* We also helped to completely terminate their timeshare, allowing them to not stress financially.

“Now that we’re timeshare free, we really just focus on enjoying life and going on vacations without having to worry about attending any presentations or meetings. We couldn’t be more grateful to be out of our timeshare.”
